Stay classy - Burgundy Style

Today's post is one of my fall favorites, my burgundy long sleeve dress from ASOS. I love the color burgundy for fall/winter. I also love how comfy casual this dress is. Comfort is huge for me! I don't like to constantly be tugging and pulling on what I'm wearing. If I don't feel comfortable and  confident in an outfit than I don't wear it. It just sits in my closet until I finally come to the realization that I should part with the uncomfortable item that doesn't make me feel self assure.

Fall & Florals... yes please.

Happy thirsty Thursday! Today I indulged in a delicious glass of root beer. I try to stay away from soda pop but today I gave in and loved every sip. What yummy beverage have you guys enjoyed lately?

Today's outfit is centered around a dress from Forever 21. It's a sweet dress with great fall colors and a girly floral pattern. When I first tried this dress on it brought me back to when I was in college. Not that I would roam around campus in an outfit like this. I more so would wear a hoodie and jeans like everyone else but the colors and how comfy this dress is reminded me of the most ultimate fall day. One of my fondest memories of living on campus was centered around fall.Walking along the bridge from the towers/dorms and seeing all of the trees and their leaves changing colors as I would take my morning stroll to my first class of the day (sigh) was so peaceful and made me all warm & fuzzy. Aw, memories!

Mustand & Gingham

Over the weekend I wore this outfit while going Christmas shopping with Brian. The picture quality isn't so great because there was hardly any sunlight left by 4 pm (time when this picture was taken). It's crazy how fast the days go by around this time of year. Days seem shorter and the nighst seem to go be never ending.

I really love how fall festive this outfit is. I know that it's technically winter now but in So Cal it's more like our fall has finally arrived. Mustard screams fall to me and mixed with the blue gingham button up and some riding boots makes me feel like a preppy equestrian. Even though I've only been on a horse once... and it was only a pony ride at a fair I'm pretty sure I could ride a horse like a polo player now... Yeah pretty confident about that. :)

Anniversary Dinner - TAKAMI

Yesterday Brian and I celebrated our two year anniversary. Brian surprised me with reservations to Takami. It's a sushi restaurant/lounge located in downtown Los Angeles. It's on the 21st floor of a building that's located in the financial district with a great view and really delicious food. It was also the first time that I missed watching a Bears game this year... luckily they were airing the game at the bar. Brian could see the reflection of the TV airing the game from the glass window. I had him give me updates whenever the Bears scored... I also got up a couple times during dinner to take a sneak peak at the bar. I'm like one of those husbands who are constantly checking their phones for football updates. Not proud of myself but the first step is admitting it. I'm very lucky to have a boyfriend that understands my Chicago Bears obsession. I got to say my man looked very handsome last night. I guess I'm one lucky girl for more than just one reason. Below are pics from our romantic night out.

Bears Stylin J.Crew button up

Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having a funtastic weekend. Today Brian and I went Christmas shopping and boy am I tired! I guess I don't have the endurance I once had, my shopping cardio has gone down the drain. So far I have all three of my nephews and my brother in law taken care of. I still need to shop for my brothers, big sister and my sweet niece little Penni Pie.

Today's post is another Bears Stylin post. It's the same top that I wore during one of my Bears Stylin 2 ways posts. This time I wore my gingham button up over it with gray jeans and my plaid/black camo boots. A great casual fall outfit that you can rock for day time.

  • Top: Gift
  • Bracelet: Forever 21

Bears Stylin Moto Jacket

Happy TGIF! So with the theme of the week being styling Chicago Bears gear I figured I'd keep the theme going for a little longer. I bought this fitted women's Bears tee a while back... I think I was still in college when I purchased it. Wow, that was a while ago! I wanted to go with a casual, sporty day outfit. I love my Forever 21 Moto jacket that I'm wearing in this outfit. It's very comfy and a bit bad ass. Right up my alley! I paired the jacket with my black booties from Shoe Mint. I love them! So comfy and great for day or night. Versatility is the name of the game for me.

Bears Stylin 2 Ways - Part 2

Hello again! Happy thirsty Thursday, today I did not drink that much water so I am indeed having a thirsty Thursday lol. My lips feel like alligator scales eeewww!!! Need to hydrate stat!

Today's post is another Bears Stylin 2 ways! It's focal point is a Chicago Bears top that I received as a gift from my wifey (I'm not a lesbian but I do have a wife.... don't ask). She's actually a Green Bay Packers fan (gasp)! Unlike me she is a trooper and will watch Bears games at Bears bars and buys me Bears attire. If the tables were turned I think I would have to pick up a Green Bay shirt with tongs and ask the retail clerk to triple bag it. I don't want cheese head germs! I would be constipated for weeks! LOL, did you see what I did there? Too much cheese = constipation oh man I crack myself up. Below you will find two looks one is more flirty and the other one I call... comfy yet edgy... yeah that works!

Bears Stylin 2 ways - Part 1

Hello there! I know I've been on over a week hiatus I guess you could say that I was recovering from Thanksgiving. I ate and drank way too much! Yikes! Even with all of my overindulging I was able to contribute to my families Thanksgiving feast by baking three pies. Yes that's right three of them! I made an apple pie, pecan pie and of course pumpkin pie. All three were a big hit and I definitely patted myself on the back for my tasty treats. I also made candy yams which were good but not as good as my pies! It was nice being around my family for the festive day. Unfortunately my oldest and youngest brother were not in attendance. Speaking as a true Cubs fan there's always next year!

Speaking of Chicago Sports today's post centers around one cute vintage inspired Chicago Bears tee. I've had this top for a few years now but it's still one of my favorite Bears tops. I love dressing this shirt up and also finding use for it in more casual outfits. I put together two outfits showing how versatile one sporty tee can be. So instead of wearing an over sized jersey to support your favorite football team on Sunday why not give one of these looks a try?
